William Ogle believes that being a responsible corporate citizen means giving back to the community. This translates into volunteering and supporting causes that are meaningful and central to the larger community welfare. We select projects that will increase the quality of life for greatest number of people living now and for generations to come. We strive to make the world that our children and grandchildren will inherit a better place to live and work than it is today. That’s a big challenge, but one that we joyfully embrace.
Here are some of the projects and community initiatives that we have participated in recently:
Block Water Bottling Plant from Establishing Plant on the Santa Fe River
When a water bottling company decided to build a plant next to a pristine spring on the beautiful Santa Fe River, local residents opposed the permit. When the water bottling company challenged the decision in court, William Ogle joined with the residents and the county to successfully oppose the water company. The bottling company then dismissed the case.
Block Cement Plant from Building Plant near Ichetucknee River
When the Columbia County Commission issued a permit for the construction and operation of a cement plant near the pristine Ichetucknee River, another grass roots organization (SOS – Save Our Suwannee) called on William Ogle for volunteer support. William Ogle then recruited the Attorney General of the State of Florida (General Robert Butterworth at the time) and together the attorney general and Ogle Law filed an opposition in court to block the plant.
Collaborate with Local Bar Associations to offer Volunteer Legal Services for persons facing foreclosure of their homes.
Ogle Law has donated money to food relief efforts in Haiti and was proud to support food relief efforts on the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina.
William Ogle and Ogle Law is always ready to lend its legal support to worthy projects that benefit families in the community. Contact us if you have a special need in this area.
